A Stroll Around Price Lake

I met an interesting character at Price Lake earlier this week. Another photographer, age 80, who was delighted to take me over to his car to look at prints he'd made from his recent travels to Africa. He gave me a very well printed image of a two cheetahs walking through tall grass on the savanna. He had lots of inspirational advice for a young pro like myself. I hope I'm still trotting the globe and lugging around a big ol' nikon and three lenses like him when I'm 80.

After our chat I decided to walked around the lake. It only took 15 feet of trail before I spotted plastic bottles, wadded-up fishing line, and several empty cans of beans. I placed the items in my bag to discard later. I only made two exposures at Price Lake that day; one of a few pieces of recyclable plastic under some rhododendron, and one of Grandfather Mountain from the lake shore.
